Cayman Islands Animal Recovery Program

Welcome to the Cayman Islands Animal Recovery Project Website

This site is a cooperative project between the Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture and the students of St. Matthew's University, School of Veterinary Medicine. The site is maintained by the students in support of the Department of Agriculture and as a service to the people of the Cayman Islands. This website is our way to say 'Thanks' for the help, support and kindness of the people, businesses and government of the Cayman Islands.

Please visit the photo gallery for dogs currently housed at the Dept of Agriculture's Animal Rescue Shelter. Pictures of cats and chickens housed at the shelter are NOT posted.

If you have lost an animal, whether you see it on the website or not, please go to the shelter during visiting hours. The website isn't updated everyday. Dogs that are picked up are kept for 7 days, in accordance with the Animals Law (2003 Revision) of the Cayman Islands. Prohibited dog breeds are not posted on this website. Dogs not reclaimed after 7 days may be up for adoption.

The shelter is located on Agricola Drive in Lower Valley. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from   12-1:00pm and 3:30-4:30 pm.
